I looked everywhere (if everywhere means Etsy and Pinterest) for a bonfire night weekly kit for my planner but I couldn't find one anywhere so I decided to make one. I put some photos up on a facebook group and it had really good feedback so I thought I would 'how to' it on the blog! </span><br />
<div style="font-family: "uictfonttextstylebody";">

<div style="font-family: "uictfonttextstylebody";">
You will need: </div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
- A computer with Microsoft on it, but I am pretty (not at all) sure that every computer magically is born with Microsoft on it anyway.</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
- Google</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
- A printer and paper (sticker paper is preferable but not a must). </div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
The fancy dancy software program I used was powerpoint.. I left a pause for laughter there. Yes its that simple! I may as well call this stickers for dummies (I might). When you've done it once you can keep it as a template and just switch out the pictures/colours from then on which is even easier peasier. </div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
Measurements you will need, I am actually not joking describing them because when I did my research I got soo confused. </div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
Full boxes (the ones with the pictures)</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">

<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
Heart checklists( the ones with the.. Hearts) </div>

-1.08" x 1.875"</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
Littles/Headers (the ones that say littlethings/uni)</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
- 1.5″ x .25″</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
I started with full boxes! To do this just pick a theme, head over to google, and get saving some cute images! I went with patterns a qoute and glitter. Insert them into your powerpoint presentation and right click, choose format picture, make sure to untick the option relative to original size and write in the measurements as listed above! Simple! If you were planning on making stickers to sell then I would stay away from google images but for personal use.. Google away!<br />

Moving onto heart checklists! I picked a basic banner/flag think out of shapes and then because I couldn't find one that fitted what I wanted added a square box on top. I then grouped these together and right clicked to bring up format image where I changed the size, and also chose the colour (or image which you would use for a glitter check box) for the checklists!<br />
<br />
To
complete the checklists I then added four little hearts in the box, I
chose these to have a fill colour white (right click, format pic) and
played about with the transparency until I was happy at about 30%. You
pick whatever works best for you!<br />

<div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
Group the hearts and the box together and then copy and paste for however many checklists you want! </div>

For half boxes I picked a rounded rectangle shape! I resized it (right click..) and then I filled it with a colour, or an image. I think images look very cute and really make the kit look different and special if you choose an image. Then created a smaller rounded rectangle made that a white fill and once again made it slightly transparent, layer that over your bigger rectangle and you get beautiful half boxes.<br />

Sandals are completely gone and last years jumpers have surfaced from the suitcase under the bed (shared wardrobe problems), but I tell you what is fun about the cold weather apart from loose and layered clothing that hides a multitude of sins. Shopping. New season, new wardrobe. A girl can dream right? So here's a couple bargains I found which will get you in the Autumn mood! </span><br>

I have already worn this jumper three days in a row and I absolutely love it. This little pink number was only £7.99 from New Look, £8!! I nearly bought it in blue as well. Its warm and cosy and even cheaper than Primark how can you not love it. The pastel colours also keep it light and pretty so not to overwhelm yourself with the darker colours that come out during this time of year, and will even take you all the way into the Spring months.</div>

This gorgeous blanket I got from Primark the other day, whilst i'm not too fussed on the pattern, it ticked all our boxes. Josh and I have been looking for a blanket that covers all of our three seat sofa, this blanket is not only large enough but soooo incredibly soft as well! We wanted purple in our living room so the purple in the blanket ties in well along with the pink that matches our flowers. After using this the past few days I can confirm that this blanket is so snuggly its perfect for keeping you warm so you don't have to turn your heating on too early in the year and its just so comfortable, well worth the £11. </div><div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; font-size: 17px; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;"><br></div><div style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; font-size: 17px; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLjE-2Uq6x4l_tA7PdFUOG0-7ET-NSR_Z7A8kwvGyOwvYm-SRPwEPTnKZ4JrAyswCY-YvlEwS7Mm0KlD04umwcn6rU5-zO4-XwVXORH6PO2A6-U_XWnVILWRQUgJgNGCzFrp97I2bauxSe/s640/blogger-image-1269761430.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLjE-2Uq6x4l_tA7PdFUOG0-7ET-NSR_Z7A8kwvGyOwvYm-SRPwEPTnKZ4JrAyswCY-YvlEwS7Mm0KlD04umwcn6rU5-zO4-XwVXORH6PO2A6-U_XWnVILWRQUgJgNGCzFrp97I2bauxSe/s640/blogger-image-1269761430.jpg"></a></div><br></div>

Since me and Josh and have moved into our own place i've emptied out 3 candles??? In a week. When I lived with my mom I had a little collection forming which now needs to be expanded quickly. I rarely burnt them before but now we'll always have one or two on the go, its weird how things change when you have your own place. Today I picked up a sampler of candy corn one of yankee candles halloween scents for £1.80 . It smells delicious and i've put it in a little glittery pumpkin that is for tea lights that I found in Wilkinsons for only £2! Its so cute and the copper fits in well with our bathroom theme. Someone recently told me that poundland have some ghost ones as well and whilst I haven't checked them out yet you can't go wrong for a pound! In the meantime though for an extra quid this wilkinson one is beautiful. </div>
<div>
<br></div><div>Now this may or may not be the post on which I pledge to keep up with this blog... I've just started my degree so who knows whether i'll stick to it but I reaaally miss writing and keeping up my little part of the internet so we'll see! Let me know what bargains you've found in the comments...</div>

<br />
The end of August brought with it the start of Leeds festival, and a lot of rain but I'll get into that later. The line up looked exciting with a good mix of acts such Stormzy, Hannah Wants, the Wombats and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I was very excited to spend the weekend camping with some of my favourite people and listening to some of my favourite bands. <br />
<br />
We got there on Wednesday pitched our tent and made a Tesco run finishing the day with a barbecue, Thursday is when most of the fun started. We didn't watch many of the introducing acts but we did go to the silent disco which exceeded all of my expectations. If you don't know what a silent disco is the jist of it is you all go into a tent with a pair of headphones with two different DJs, one was definitely more indie whilst the other leaning towards house music. Its such a fun atmosphere, I would be listening to a song the red DJ was plying and my friend Tash would reach over and change it to green where a classic would be playing, it was perfect. Then taking your headphones off the whole tent would be singing together to no music and it was just very cool. Friday and Saturday were full of food, tipsiness and amazing bands. The Wombats, Courteeners and Biffy Clyro in contest for my favourite. Friday night I even went to see Jaguar Skills on the Relentless stage which whilst not my kind of music was actually really good! The stage was in between two rows of trees and its amazing. <br />

<br />
Tickets for next year are already on sale so instead of just recapping the weekend, I'll leave you with some tips.<br />
<br />
1. Early Entry<br />
<br />
Early entry is only about £20 more and is so worth it, we got to the campsite about 2pm on Wednesday and we struggled to find a spot (even though in the end ours was pretty good). People who were coming in on Thursday I felt sorry for, especially since it had started raining the tents on the outside were literally just swimming in the mud.<br />
<br />
<br />
2. Be Prepared<br />
<br />
It rained quite a bit and I am so glad that I had packed wellies, a rain coat and lots of baby wipes. Even is you don't think its gonna rain, its good to be prepared the mud gets insane and it got to the point where people (Bradley) were losing their wellies in the mud. Don't be that girl who wore brand new new balance...<br />
<br />

3. Be flexible<br />
<br />
I had a plan of everyone I wanted to see and the ones that I really did not want to miss I went to see, the wombats (amazing) the vaccines (not so amazing unfortunately), we couldn't even get close enough to listen to Russell Howard so we went to see Churches instead because one of our group wanted to go who were good! Then instead of seeing The 1975 whose songs I know all the words to, purely because I wasn't that excited to see them, I went to watch Biffy Clyro (which is a band not a single person by the way) and they were so good. It was an amazing performance and I had a great carefree night under the stars to the best music. Then we had agreed to watch half of twenty one pilots and half of Foals but we only ended up seeing one of Foals songs because our friend who wanted to see it didn't want to leave (the drummer was crowd surfing whilst playing the drums I wouldn't have wanted to leave ether). So don't set an exact plan, find the people you are desperate to see and embrace the artists that you've never heard of before. You might find someone you like even more. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
So whether its Leeds, Reading, Glastonbury or V Fest! Find a festival with a great line up and go! I can promise you that you won't regret it. Unless you don't like getting down and dirty, then maybe get a day ticket...Hollie:)http://www.blogger.com/profile/01125574195549109849noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118896695476500159.post-15747121022101790212016-07-21T05:58:00.000-07:002016-07-21T05:58:01.404-07:005, 4, 3, 2, 1: How to avoid overpacking!Follow this method of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and avoid overpacking for a week away. <br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It essentially means packing: </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
-5 tops (which includes jackets), opt for a kimono/denim jacket, I shouldn't be encouraging cheating so early on into the post but wear one on the flight and pack the other as part of your five tops. Then keep your options open with a black one, a white one and a colour one, then throw in a different sleeve length to be on the side of caution.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-Q3I4Q7mYh13C09GcCEB8RLirPzadTXJDJjv38Tt8uDc3ixisoQ05vSJebY0AC0UCrnD_eusT60Z2cuz0UrKDWsg_RQNm0tLBSOuIl9mTmy80mkhH91ncFrbtI_jNdGXAImXmepnpf3sc/s1600/13709739_10207279268595507_1366737957_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-Q3I4Q7mYh13C09GcCEB8RLirPzadTXJDJjv38Tt8uDc3ixisoQ05vSJebY0AC0UCrnD_eusT60Z2cuz0UrKDWsg_RQNm0tLBSOuIl9mTmy80mkhH91ncFrbtI_jNdGXAImXmepnpf3sc/s640/13709739_10207279268595507_1366737957_o.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
-4 bottoms, a pair of denim shorts, a pair of cotton shorts, a skirt and for me a pair of white jeans as the Canary Islands can get quite windy! If you don't want to pack jeans throw in another pair of denim shorts for good measure! </div>
<div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
-3 dresses + shoes, opt for your favourite pair of sandals/trainers and a nice pair of heels just in case. For dresses go for a day dress a more evening dress, and a playsuit or maybe some dungarees!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
-2 swimsuits + bags, pick your two favourite swimsuits and pack a beach/pool bag along with a little over the shoulder bag for day trips!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
-1 pair of sunnies (also goes for hats/watches/ beach towels) I always take 2/3 pairs with me but I know exactly which ones I will end up wearing all week!<br />

<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Stick to this and you should end up with a relatively light suitcase. Obviously this rule does not apply to the extras that find themselves in your suitcase (toiletries etc) but keeps you from packing 50 outfits for a secen day trip but leaves you with options. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Things you <b>should</b> overpack: </div>
<div>
- knickers, kinckers, knickers, empty the whole damn draw into that case</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Things you CAN NOT forget</div>
<div>
- your passport/important travel docs (duhh!) </div>
<div>
- a plug adapter </div>
<div>
- suncream + aftersun</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
There you go, simple but effective. Just the way I like things! <br />
<br />
Leave me a comment with any packing tips you may have...</div>

American makeup (particularly drug store) brands differ from the brands you'll find in the UK. From the ripe old age of 13 i've dreamt about being let loose in a target and buying as much wet n wild or Covergirl makeup as i can fit in a trolley (don't judge I did say 13), so when I was walking past Boots today its no surprise I noticed the new Nyx stall they've put in. <div><br></div><div>Okay so i'm a tad exaggerating but who really cares? </div><div><br></div><div>The point is Boots bought in Nyx. Those soft matte lipcreams and eyeshadow sticks in cottage cream (or something like that) I could finally get my hands on easily. </div><div><br></div><div>I think it was last Friday that Boots officially launched it and I couldn't help but popping in, I filled my hands with about £70s worth of stuff I don't need but then realised pay day was only yesterday and i'm supposed to be saving for a holiday.. And a car. So yeah I settled with just two products that I wanted to try. </div><div><br></div><div>(And some other new things but hey I never claimedto be good at saving). </div><div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu8HTJ7oZ-78k8B4vKLnFt8-ifjTptuZFY2zNW5aPFDAiu6I6YqdyYfis5XVq71ds0mRxmCAKFVY5xi5HZRW_35o0ZF5V_BAFbE2mPB9ItCcUXZfz054fX2gpMnJspygr2WIhHu7tDUIra/s640/blogger-image--1393279295.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu8HTJ7oZ-78k8B4vKLnFt8-ifjTptuZFY2zNW5aPFDAiu6I6YqdyYfis5XVq71ds0mRxmCAKFVY5xi5HZRW_35o0ZF5V_BAFbE2mPB9ItCcUXZfz054fX2gpMnJspygr2WIhHu7tDUIra/s640/blogger-image--1393279295.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div><br></div><div>The blush is in Crimson and its a crazy red, but its really cute and with a light hand just gives a prominent flush of colour. </div><div><br></div><div>I wore the soft matte lip cream in Milan on a night of eating and drinking on the weekend and only really had to apply it once or twice. Oh wait... I work weekends. Still, the Friday feeling is there! Friday nights are just so much better than any other night even with the knowledge that I've got work in the morning. To celebrate I thought I would do a Friday favourites post and tell you all what I've been loving recently so get excited. Also I got a couple exciting packages today which I will also be writing about on the blog so keep your eyes peeled. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPAexeZ39wLqM9hsJ1JauoxapZQO1hC0L-VfZl0sJwEbfvm61xupmmIBtTFK4E5xqRL4Pr0uH6EOS0UHXVTCTKdAi-k2yQ9O3UXcwYopr96TsnXBbUUMQriyl05DWhOFaYskVHcOX-ovJu/s1600/jane-the-virgin.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPAexeZ39wLqM9hsJ1JauoxapZQO1hC0L-VfZl0sJwEbfvm61xupmmIBtTFK4E5xqRL4Pr0uH6EOS0UHXVTCTKdAi-k2yQ9O3UXcwYopr96TsnXBbUUMQriyl05DWhOFaYskVHcOX-ovJu/s320/jane-the-virgin.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
To kick off my favourites post, we'll talk about TV. Oh my god, I can't stop watching TV its just sooo good. Two new TV shows however (and when I say new I mean like 2 seasons in but new to me). FIRST OF ALL Jane the Virgin. This show had me through one season of Netflix in a day and consequently onto E4oD straight away for season 2 because, damn cliff hanger. If you haven't watched it the generally low down is this girl Jane who still hasn't popped her... Is artificially inseminated and bam is pregnant. I want to tell you so much about this show, because its my favourite show at the moment as its funny and there's romance problems and a really weird but that's what makes it so good voice over. Everything I need in a TV show. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuP7kSF78vbcdwg8R2O5truxZ-G2MFTLARK3ETilDN1H3QGjt5cpJnF7eRG4iRAh_48U7T7iITbiJRZbf7IKR9wanaj3J-Q5jSZOECHlwoNB1I3BB6WvDdyjvUXK-AgYwSZe4SlbrhHxQm/s1600/youre-back-in-the-room-official-logo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuP7kSF78vbcdwg8R2O5truxZ-G2MFTLARK3ETilDN1H3QGjt5cpJnF7eRG4iRAh_48U7T7iITbiJRZbf7IKR9wanaj3J-Q5jSZOECHlwoNB1I3BB6WvDdyjvUXK-AgYwSZe4SlbrhHxQm/s320/youre-back-in-the-room-official-logo.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The TV love doesn't end there though, also on 4oD, is You're Back in the Room. Josh said we should watch it and I was like welllll if you want to babe whilst secretly thinking no no no, I sort of thought it was a psychic thing which is not my thing. It is however amazing. I laughed so badly through the first episode I watched, I actually could've cried, and I actually got Josh to pause it so I could wee before I wet myself. The idea is a group of 5 people do tasks to earn £25,000 to split between them but at the same time they're hypnotised to make it harder. For example they were in a diner set up and one person gets the burger the next the fries etc ectc. One girl was hypnotised to think she was covered in grease and could not even stand up, I was crying it was so funny. The other guy believed he was in a shampoo commercial (he was bald), and was rubbing ketchup and mustard all over his head and Phillip Schofield's it was hilarious. A lot of people say they don't believe in the hypnotism, but even if you didn't its still an absolutely hilarious show to watch! <br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh2xRoGxfQb1invIHp2I1vovdyeHw3LUBeC62diAy5UxOXUVSYrzUEEcEFHkKwcja_ska498F716CIKb7gJOZ2ucB61k-cclUee3H7ls_e-sr2iyOFO0us96sn9udQTboRx3USLghstpzU/s1600/12963669_10206661675796073_1350820072994076138_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh2xRoGxfQb1invIHp2I1vovdyeHw3LUBeC62diAy5UxOXUVSYrzUEEcEFHkKwcja_ska498F716CIKb7gJOZ2ucB61k-cclUee3H7ls_e-sr2iyOFO0us96sn9udQTboRx3USLghstpzU/s400/12963669_10206661675796073_1350820072994076138_n.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Next on my list of favourites for this week is...<br />
<br />
<a href="https://www.blogger.com/"><span id="goog_1107362921"></span>Nakd Cocoa Orange bars</a><br />
<br />
These little bars are so good! This week I haven't had any chocolate or basically anything that's not that good for you, all my snacks are either fruit or chopped up veggies and it's getting boring. I neeeed chocolate so I snapped up these to fill my need. All that's in them is dates, cashews, raisins, cocoa and a hnt of natural orange flavouring. So they're a pretty healthy snack and I get to feel like i'm eating a chocolate bar! Haha, they're a little bit pricey as they are £2.50 for only four bars but I have found since eating healthier I am actually saving money! And my mom told me healthy eating was too expensive. No more quick maccies or subways at lunch, no more meal out or chocolate buying sprees in Sainsburys, or spending £10 a day in Costa. It actually is so much cheaper, so I don't mind paying £5 a week for the closest thing I'll get to a chocolate fix (for now). <br />
<br />
<div>
<a href="http://www.boots.com/en/SEVENTEEN-Easy-on-the-Eye-Eye-Palette-Birthday-Suit_1697409/" target="_blank">Seventeen Easy On The Eye Palette</a> and<a href="http://www.boots.com/en/LOreal-Paris-Super-Liner-Perfect-Slim-Intense_1471410/" target="_blank"> L'Oréal Paris Super Liner</a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This palette is a new favourite of mine, every time we went out somewhere, or I got brunch with friends or drinks in Weatherspoon's I would just put shimmery rose colour all over my lid. It's the top row second from the left, its just a lovely subtle colour and I have never really put a pinky colour as a base before I am a fan of beiges and gold or browns but i'm loving the simple shimmer and hint of colour this has and it looks really nice. It has good staying power and lasts even longer if I put one of the cream shadows underneath! I kept away from a crease colour with this look, but I made sure to line my eyes with my favourite L'Oréal eyeliner and add a subtle or dramatic flick depending on the occasion.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Primark Cleansing Brush</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Sometimes when I cleanse my face I never feel like its got deep enough, got all of that makeup that's still sat in my pores. I recently picked up this little pink thing and its made my face washing routine so much better! Sometimes I use it with my L'Oréal gentle exfoliator and sometimes with my BalanceMe cleanser and both times it works perfect. As its got little bristles it definitely feels like it has more impact than my hands for bringing up the dirt and makeup of my face that's for sure! It's silicone as well, so its so easy to keep clean, I just wash it under water or with my cleanser now and again and walah its brand new again. It also has a sucker on the back so its easy to stick in the shower or on the wall next to my mirror stopping it lying around the bathroom somewhere and probably losing it! It's not clarisonic but for £1 you would be a fool not to pick it up. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So there you go, there's my favourites! Now it's time to write more posts, have a chicken salad and call up some party venues (exciting), happy Friday! Let me know of any favourites you've got at the moment in the comments so I can try them out! </div>

I'm tired and I can not sleep. I sleep on my left side and it hurts, I sleep on my right side and it hurts. When I get comfy my mouth suddenly dries up like the sahara desert so I move on to have a drink and then shit i'm back to square one. Basically soz holl but you aren't sleeping tonight or this morning or whatever. Its surprising how much crying, Jane the Virgin (my new fave on netflix btdubz) and codeine you can fit into one night (that was a joke only every four hours I know). And since I cannot blue peter style a here's one I wrote earlier there is no time better than the present to write a blog post.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So before every gland in my neck decided to swell up nicely :) :) :) I did some things. Some cute things, and had some cute feelings to document on the blog so here we go. </div>
<div>
]</div>
<div>
The boyf and I took a trip into Stratford on good Friday to go to the butterfly farm, this is something I used to do all the time when I was a kid so I was mega excited. The butterflies were cute and one sat on josh's shoulder and just wouldn't move. There was also a really cool ants nest (is it a nest?) and I was fascinated watching the ants carrying leaves, if not a little creeped out though. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I've also been developing a new kind of butterflies. A silent butterfly that instead of fluttering around in my stomach just sits and glows. Probably thinking of double cheeseburgers or ooooo I could polish off more than one maccies hash brown rn. Anywho yes i've got a glowing butterfly in my stomach and at first I thought it was just love (aw yh i know it gets more sickly) but i've changed my mind now. I've named this little butterfly appreciation. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I don't know if thats exactly what this warm glow is, maybe i'm wrong, wouldn't be the first time but it will do for now. Is it weird to appreciate someone's presence in your life? Like just having them sat accross from you whilst you're eating, and appreciating their efforts. Just spooning and having your hair stroked after polishing off more than a spoon ful of Ben&Jerries. Someone who's texts leave you feeling content no matter how dull because they take their time to message you. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I just kinda look at Josh sometimes and think about how sad I would be without him, and whaddya know the butterflies making a visit again. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Ah that's got to be it for today because its time to stop rambling and call my doctors, or ya know just lie in bed all day till I eventually fall asleep. Maybe even do some revision.. Yeah.. Haha...</div>

Makeup Brush Cleanser: Review<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br>
After a trip to Superdrug, I nearly purchased the Real Techniques brush cleanser, as I am in love with their brushes and they need the best care! However I stumbled across the B. Makeup Brush Cleanser which was only £3 (less than half the price) and decided that I would try it out. Then make up the difference buying a new powder... <br>
<br>
It's a conditioning cleanser that disinfects and cleans brushes, It's a gentle formulae that can be used on natural and synthetic brushes and is gentle enough for everyday use, and is antibacterial. I didn't have amazing hopes to be honest but if you look at the before picture you'll know that they were in dire need of a wash. It comes in a spray bottle, and its recommended that you use 3/4 sprays and then wipe on a tissue, so not a deep cleanser. <br>

<br>
I started with my rose gold brush which is disgusting, and I will let you in on a secret. I actually did this without taking photos but was so impressed I left it a few weeks before doing it again for the blog! P.s. should I start using my camera for photos, these grainy iPhone pictures just aren't that great. <br>
<br>
I sprayed, cleaned it on a tissue. Then repeated a couple more times. It is amazing. The brush cleaned up so quickly! I use it for bronzer so the fact the bristles are white again is amazing! I would 10% recommend this for people who like to regularly clean their brushes and keep them nice and pretty. However it isn't a deep enough cleanser for everything, I attempted to clean up my foundation brush and it didn't really make a dent in the deep rooted foundation in the bristles. Gross I know. I will pick up the Real Techniques cleanser at some point to tackle my foundation brushes but until then I will definitely keep using it! Cheap and effective. Who could resist? <br>

<br />
Where have I been? For a whole damn month? I wish I could say I was too busy revising, that I have had to concentrate on college or work or ya know, something the slightest productive. But no. Apart from a week in Spain I have just been using my spare time to sleep. I am just as ashamed as you guys, I know its bad. <br />
<br />
But I am back! Exams are creeping up and I am more then a little stressed out with both college and uni at the moment (I haven't even got there yet and I am sick of it) so posts may be sporadic may end up being a month apart but I will try my hardest to get some up. <br />
<br />
So... Spain! Whilst looking back it wasn't that awful, it definitely wasn't good, but it could've been worse. I don't know if I hated it that much, or if I hated the fact I had spent so much money for an average week. <br />
<br />
Why was it so bad? I don't really know. The weather wasn't great, just cold and extremely windy. The food wasn't great, as we were all inclusive we basically ate the same thing every meal. The atmosphere wasn't great because everyone was old and Spanish which whilst possibly entertaining... Just wasn't what I was looking for. <br />
<br />
The alcohol was plentiful but my favourite night was when we sat out on the balcony getting drunk off of 1 euro bottles of wine, of which we went through about 4. Playing cards and 'don't show Keith your teeth' wrapped up in what we labelled as 'itchy blankets' that the hotel left in the wardrobe. <br />
<br />
Fair to say it wasn't the worst week of my life, the same week back in Birmingham and £600 cheaper and I would be over the moon! What I will say is that I finally quenched my first for a nice Mojito. Cocktails just don't taste the same when not drunk on a beach bar. Which actually leads to a funny story, for another day... <br />

The moral of the story: don't book a holiday out of season. <br />
<br />
Got any holiday stories? I want to hear the good the bad and the ugly, leave them in the comments! <span style="font-family: "calibri";">When we first planned our trip to Rome we planned all the
normal things, trips to the Colosseum, to the Vatican but while walking the
cobblestone streets I realised there is so much more to the eternal city! Here
are the top 4 things about this Italian experience. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;">
<a href="file:///C:/Users/User/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"></a><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;"><span style="font-family: "calibri";">1.</span><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";">
</span></span></span><span style="font-family: "calibri";">The Carbs.</span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">There
is nothing the Romans do better than pasta. Pasta in creamy milk sauces with
chicken hiding underneath layers of parmesan. Or pasta with a rich tomato sauce
and little bits of crispy bacon surprising you every now and then (also covered
in parmesan whoops). The choices of pasta can be overwhelming when an Italian
waiter asks you if you would prefer the fettuccine, linguine or rigatoni, just
take a guess the truth is they all taste better than the spaghetti that you
overcooked back home. I wish I could say I tried the pizza, or the fish which
seems to be quite popular, but my love affair with the pasta in the city got in
the way. All I can say is that you might need to go up a jean size when you get
home...When dining in Rome its always best done outside, I have never before
enjoyed the experience of eating dinner outside in winter, but pick a seat
outside a nice restaurant and you’ll be greeted with candles, flowers and fresh
air. Of course there were also patio heaters. It is January afterall. </span></div>

<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">Keeping
on the food trend, what I must admit is the pasta is not the only thing that is
mouth watering in Roma. Despite the cool evenings and mornings the afternoons
in Rome were sunny and that called for gelato! A walk around Piazza Navona in
the sun with a carboard cup holding a heavenly desert. No one could resist.
Every other shop was an ice cream shop, they were everywhere and I was
grateful! The first night it actually ended up raining as we retreated back to
the hotel, but I couldn’t resist. I had ice cream anyway and then every day
after that. I tried mango, summer fruits, cherry, cheesecake, Oreo, Kinder.
Every flavour is delicious and will leave you wanting more, and more. One shop
even sold Viagra gelato, that one was not really my cup of tea though! </span></div>

hold brilliant white marble sculptures, and we found out that they were
actually all painted it had just worn off over time! Large tapestries that hold
the stories of Moses and Jesus, and maps of Rome perfect in proportion yet made
before the time of helicopters and drones. The stories behind the intricate
paintings inside the Sistine chapel and the pope that had himself painted as
Peter to boost his ago is enough to keep anyone entertained, and the best part
is the end when you reach St Peter’s Basilica. It took 120 years to be rebuilt
into what it is today. Everything is so grand and holds so much detail it is
hard to not be amazed. I would advise to go during mass as well as that adds to
the experience. Hearing the hyms that are being sung resonate around the whole of
the basilica is peaceful and leaves you feeling truly touched. The colosseum is
also a great visit, and be sure to get a pass to the underground dungeons!
Learn about the shows that the emperors would put on, how the women had to sit
at the very top away from the alluring gladiators and that actually the darker
corners of the inside of the colosseum may well have just been called brothels.
Who said history couldn’t be interesting? There’s the Castle St Angelo which
has the most perfect views the higher you climb with little tables that offer
you the chance to dine and look out over central Rome. Then there is the
pantheon, the Spanish steps (which were unfortunately closed the whole time we
were there and the Trevi Fountain all a few minutes from each other. While you
are in Rome you can’t deny the chance to throw a coin into the Trevi, it
ensures your return to the beautiful city. I never thought something like the
Trevi Fountain could blow me away. The Sistine chapel, maybe. The pantheon,
maybe. Well nothing left me lost for words like the Trevi fountain did. Don’t
underestimate its size, or its beauty. Fun fact it is the end point of an
ancient Roman aquaduct! The best time to visit is the early hours of the
morning after one too many glasses of Rose, but don’t get your hopes up about
going paddling because its closely guarded by the polizia at all times.</span></div>

<a href="http://stylesets.dailylook.com/sets/196850">wishlist</a><br />
<br /></div>
</div>
</div>
It's been a pretty bad week, and I just want to do some internet shopping. The only thing on my wishlist is a new bikini and pair of sandals in preparation for my trip to Spain in two weeks time but even that can't make me happy right now because... Well, because I just realised exactly how much I ate over Christmas and I really am not in the mood for bikinis. So instead I am burying my head in the sand, crying at non-emotional parts of don't tell the bride and dreaming of makeup and supporting other bloggers. Here's what I am really lusting after right now..<br />
<br />
1. <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/CHANEL-VITALUMIERE-AQUA-Ultra-Light-Skin-Perfecting-Makeup-Instant-Natural-Radiance-SPF-15_1160210/" target="_blank">Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in Beige</a><br />
<br />
I first had my eye on this foundation maybe 2 years ago, when <a href="http://www.fleurdeforce.com/" target="_blank">Fleur de Force</a> a blogger/vlogger mentioned it in quite a few of her videos along with the other Lumiere foundations. I found this at a chanel counter in Sephora (heaven) in Rome and now I have my eye on it again and its only £32 which is a lot less then I originally thought which makes me want it even more. Compared to my £10 Loreal foundation it seems a bit excessive but I just haaaave to try it. <br />
<br />
2. <a href="http://narscosmetics.co.uk/en_GB/vera-audacious-lipstick/0607845094562.html" target="_blank">Nars lipstick in Vera</a><br />
<br />
This is something I have heart eyes for after also spotting it in Sephora and although £24 is a hefty price for a lipstick, something I wouldn't use very often but the colour is so beautiful! A girl can dream. <br />
<br />
3. <a href="https://stilnest.com/en/annasaccone/" target="_blank">Anna Saccone Zodiac Collection in Gold</a> <br />
<br />
I love <a href="http://www.annasaccone.com/" target="_blank">Anna</a>, I love her family, her kids, and her vlogs. When I heard she was bringing out a necklace collection I was so excited. I have not yet got around to getting one, but I saw Abbie's necklace the other day and I am extremely jealous. This is something that is at the very top of my list, the price tag puts me off slightly, but I know it will be worth it. There is also some amazingly cute packaging for Valentines day orders!<br />
<br />
4. <a href="https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/251755023/gold-birthstone-bracelet-14k-gold-filled?ref=shop_home_active_21" target="_blank">Hey June January Birthstone Bracelet</a><br />
<br />
I say January even though my birth month is July because the stone is a lot prettier. This jewellery line comes from another wonderful blogger I love, <a href="http://www.thelifeofbon.com/" target="_blank">Life of Bon</a>. A cute dainty 14k gold bracelet named after her cute new family addition June. The January stone is a garnet stone and a gorgeous deep red. <br />
<br />
5. <a href="https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/263299090/sorry-im-late-id-rather-be-at-home-t?ref=shop_home_active_6" target="_blank">Sorry I'm Late I'd Rather Be At Home t-shirt</a><br />
<br />
Another blogger? Yeah I know, but they make cool stuff! I can't help myself. This is part of <a href="http://www.thedailytay.com/" target="_blank">Daily Tay</a>'s Talk Herbie To Me line and if I could have all of it I would just to steal some of her sarcastic wit and lock it into a t-shirt. A t-shirt that's cosy af and would be great to wear to college! <br />
<br />
Right now I have obsessed over things I can't buy yet, I have an essay to write. Dreams only last for so long! <br />
<br />
Let me know what you've been lusting after, you can never have too long a wishlist! <br />

As I sat on the steps of the Trevi fountain amongst a crowd of other excited tourists (an unwelcome change to when we drunkenly stumbled upon it empty minus the polizia in the early hours of the previous morning) I thought of home. Part of me itching to be back in my own bed enjoying food I am more fond of, the other dreaming of an extended stay wondering the streets of central Rome enjoying the evenings I had took pleasure from the nights before. The sky was a pure blue, no clouds in sight. The gold writing glistened in the sun and my sunglasses were greatful to be released from there case for the first time in months. Josh sat beside me also enjoying the view, looking handsome as ever. The remains of cherry gelato (another favourite of mine) melting in a small paper cup sat in between us. I couldn't help but ask myself why anyone would want this to end?<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Oh how I would discover that I in fact would rather be in Birmingham than spend another minute in a foreign country when the option of being home that night disappeared. Do we always want what we can't have? </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
A few hours later the fountain had been swapped for a check in line. It was officially home time, we checked in quickly whizzed through security, that was however after I had been stopped and drug swatched because I left my coke bottle in my bag (the cola kind). Have you ever been stopped in an airport? Had your bags taken to be checked by someone and a small tab wiped over your hands and shoes? I swear one look at me and you would have thought I had something to hide, even I started to doubt myself and pictured myself going to prison. Part of me chanting "shit shit shit" in my head the other saying "how irrational they can't find anything because there is nothing" then I heard "that's fine thank you" and snapped out of my anxious over reaction and literally had to laugh at my idiot self. Never the less security didn't take long and we took a short walk around the airport (searched ten minutes for a magazine in English then nearly bought the new cosmo till I saw it was €11!) boarded our plane and waited. And waited. Till the pilot announced they were still doing checks on the right engine. Then we waited, and waited, and then were told that we would have to leave the aircraft. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Have you ever been in an airport dying to know if you're going home tonight, mobbed by other passengers all wanting to know the same thing. Three or four different languages flying about, people talking over each other and a poor airline worker in the middle of it all. It's hell. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Eventually we found out that the flight to Brussels will continue just later than planned which is great! Unless you have a connecting flight, which as always its us with the awkward situations. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So we waited, and were told to collect our luggage at carousel ten and hurried down there. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Then we waited for another twenty minutes till the luggage started to come round. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Then we waited in line for no joke a good hour and a half waiting and waiting for any information we could get our hands on. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What we discovered when waiting was that there was in fact a direct flight to Birmingham but with Monarch, which as it is not a partner airline for we would have to buy a ticket. So to get back to Birmingham that night would mean buying a ticket. Not like we had already bought two or anything...<br />
<br />
Then we waited, and we waited and we waited. Get my point? Eventually we did get new flights and by 11 o'clock were in a hotel eating dinner (on the airline btdubz) then we flew out at 12pm the next day. <br />
<br />
In hindsight I can understand it, I don't want to get on a plane that doesn't work as much as the next person, but standing in lines for a good four hours was not the highlight of my trip! <br />
<br />
To read the highlights of our trip watch out for future posts! Leave me a comment to let me know if you've ever ended up in a situation like this, would love to know i'm not alone. </div>
Hollie:)http://www.blogger.com/profile/01125574195549109849noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118896695476500159.post-66407433568304969302016-01-27T03:14:00.001-08:002016-01-27T03:14:25.932-08:00To my 14 year old self, <span style="font-family: "calibri";">Oh how I wish I could time travel, how I wish I could go
back to the nights you would spend crying and wishing for things that in time
will come. Don’t take for granted the people in your life who truly care for
you, your mom really does love you and it’ll take a few years a broken heart
and more than a few conversations for you to realise that. For now though,
cherish the person who is there because soon enough they’ll leave. Not completely,
they will always be a phone call away, but those pep talks will end. Just don’t
ever let go of that bond. </span><br />
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">Stop trying to beat your sister. You are not her. She loves
you, so stop screaming at each other, stop taking her clothes without asking
and stop hating on her in your head. No one expects you to be her as much as
you think they do, and they believe you are just as smart and will be just a independent
in your own way. She’ll never show you just how much she loves you, but you’ll
come to appreciate the little gestures as you grow up that show she cares. So
only put your head in that textbook for you, you’ll be disappointed when those ‘big
exams’ come around but you shouldn’t be, you did well accept the praise. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">Friends, and I mean real friends will come. You’ll find
someone in a year or two who becomes such an important friend for you, you’ll
even fight your way into their life. Don’t take no for an answer, she will be
the weirdest and greatest friend you will have. You will hurt for her, you will
cry for her and she will be there for you for the next few years and maybe even
longer. Stop making yourself miserable and ditch the bitches, you don’t need
it. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">Make the most of the “memories” with that unconditional
friendship you have grown up confident that it will never fade, I wish I could
say you won’t grow apart but that’s not necessarily true. People do grow up,
but don’t let it go completely. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">Stop listening to that Coldplay song, and you know what I
mean you weirdo. Only turn those Christmas lights on if you’re going to smile. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">You are beautiful, and it took yourself too long to realise
it. You’ll still doubt it in years to come but never stop saying it, no matter
how much you don’t believe it. Your goal of being skinny by the time your
sixteen, it’s not going to happen. You’ll forge an inseparable bond with double
cheeseburgers I’m afraid. Yet when you go to prom you’ll look stunning believe
me. Also boys don’t hate you because you’re fat. </span></div>
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">Leave your bedroom, wear that dress. There's nothing you'll regret more than the times you refused to go somewhere because you hated how (and you weren't by the way) ugly you are. You'll wonder why you cried so much over dresses and skirts that weren't enough to make you look beautiful, because you always were. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">Boys. Oh my god if only I could slap you for every time you
thought you would never be cuddled by a boy. All the way up to sixteen. Yes you
will eventually kiss a boy don’t you worry. Yes boys will eventually take
interest in you. Maybe the ones you grew up with just never saw you that way
and never will, but you’ll find a whole new sea of male specimen but go easy on
it. Be aware of the older boys, be careful with your dignity and your heart.
But no regrets. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">You will find love and it will be everything you thought it
would be and worse, it will come to you in the most unexpected way and will
overwhelm you. Just once that night you got drunk and took advantage of this
new found interest from boys will work out for you, and don’t doubt yourself it’s
not a joke. A boy will actually ask you out on a date, and trust me they’re quite
a catch. Just remember in the future that your mom just wants the best for you,
give up on the rebellion. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">You will be happy, your days of sadness are numbered. New
friends will bring you out of that rut, and they will make you happy. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">You’ll meet a boy who will give you butterflies, and you
will experience a broken heart but it’ll mend quicker than you think. Arguments
are not the end of the world, or a relationship. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">Most importantly one day you will find true friendships,
cute boys who (i’m not joking) do want to kiss you and you will realise that
you are gorgeous and that it is so important to believe that even during the
times when you don’t want to. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">

This post has been sitting in my drafts for ages, and since the posts about Rome are taking longer to write I thought I would upload this in the mean time! <br />
For a short and hopefully romantic trip away next week consisting of busy sightseeing, Italian dinners and lot's of kisses, I need the perfect makeup bag to arm myself with. <br />
<br />
For the quick and easy holiday snapshot ready makeup..<br />
<br />
The perfect base:<br />
<br />
<span class="pd_productNameSpan" itemprop="name">L'Oréal </span>True Match Foundation super blendable buffed in with a Real Techniques buffing brush and the equally amazing True Match Powder applied with the Real Techniques arched powder brush make the perfect duo for a flawless face. Layer on top of the Seventeen Photo Flawless primer for a whole day of unfaltering perfection. <br />
<br />
To keep a warm Italian flush on my cheeks I also put my Urban Decay Naked Flushed in Native, the perfect blush, bronze and highlight all in one to save more space. Bronze with the Real Techniques tapered blush, colour the cheeks with the contour brush and highlight with the pointed foundation brush.<br />
<br />
And the rest: <br />
<br />
My trusty eye lash curlers that are years old, and may not get through security as in the right hands are definitely a weapon, and a travel sized Eyeko Black Magic mascara. Both together give the perfect curl and thickness to ahem not flirt with cute Italian waiters. <br />
<br />
The Tanya Burr eyebrow palette, hot cocoa, chestnut and fairycake along with travel sized tweezers are needed to create the perfect brow, and pebble is actually the perfect matte brown for the crease or all over the lid. <br />
<br />
And lastly, Vaseline to cure those airplane air conditioning dried out lips. <br />
<br />
And for the evenings kissing on the Spanish Steps or dining on linguini:<br />
<br />
The <span class="pd_productNameSpan" itemprop="name">L'Oréal Super Liner Perfect Slim is great to add a cat flick to any look to turn your makeup from simple to super. Or use the Naked 2 palette to create a quick smokey eye before a 3 course meal in Trevi and a night touring Rome. </span><br />
<span class="pd_productNameSpan" itemprop="name"><br /></span>
<span class="pd_productNameSpan" itemprop="name">Lipstick may not be needed for a week away sunning and swimming but for a city break pack a few, you never know when you'll need a swipe of colour to take your look to the next level, in my bag there is a Topshop lipstick in Suspected (which for those of you who didn't know the contents made in Italy) for when you're feeling dark and mysterious, Maybelline Coloursensational in Pink Punch for when you're feeling flirty and Collection 2000 volume sensational in Cherry Pop when you're feeling a night of romance. </span><br />
<br />
And there you go your secret weapon to feeling fabulous whilst away, if you couldn't tell I am very excited for next weeks adventure. <br />
<br />
Ciao! <br />

<br />
Whether you're going travelling during 2016, or just taking a long weekend away in another country it's important to be prepare and stay safe. Josh and I are going to Rome in two weeks, which I am so excited for and I have compiled six tips to make your time away perfect.<br />
<br />
<span style="color: magenta;">1. Travel Safely</span><br />
<br />
Make sure you have a good travel insurance policy, one that covers lost/damaged bags, cancellation and any medical treatment you may need whilst your away. You don't expect for anything to happen on holiday otherwise why would you go, but you really don't want to end up ill and worrying about medical expenses. If you're a resident of the UK then apply for a free European Health Insurance Card, this is not an alternative to actually getting travel insurance as it will not cover private medical healthcare such as ski mountain rescues or being flown back to the UK. It won't cover your luggage/cancellations. It will however give you access to reduced cost or free access from state healthcare providers if needs be without having to go through your travel insurers first.<br />
<br />
<span style="color: magenta;">2. Call Your Bank</span><br />
<br />
You should call up your bank and any other credit card providers to make sure that your cards will work whilst over there, if you don't plan on using them you should still let them know where you are going and when so if in case of emergency you can use it. I've also found that you're card can get suspended if used somewhere where it usually wouldn't be, which can be a whole lot of hassle so it's better to be safe than sorry. <br />
<br />
<span style="color: magenta;">3. Book Before You Go</span><br />
<br />
Make sure to book and plan all your activities before you go! You don't have to plan every small detail, but big tourist attractions you may want to visit and how to get there you will want to do before hand for an easy holiday. You may even find fast track entry for some things! You can leave a day free for spontaneous exploring of the city you're staying in, and know that everything else you wanted to do is paid for and planned for in advance. <br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: magenta;">4. Print Everything Off</span><br />
<br />
And keep it safe! Important documents you'll need like your plane tickets, or information for your hotels or tourist attractions. Also make sure to print off your itinery, make sure to do all of this before you leave for the airport to make your trip a little less stressful.<br />
<br />
<span style="color: magenta;">5. Have a Travel Checklist</span><br />
<br />
To make sure you don't forget anything write yourself a list of things you're going to take, it's not the end of the world if you realise you left your foundation at home once you get to the hotel but its definitely annoying. Make sure everything is ticked off before you leave for the aiport, the last thing you want to do is not pack something like your deodorant because you had to use it in the morning before your travelled. If you tend to overpack, pack everything you plan to take and weigh your suitcase a few days before you go to make sure it fits the allowance of your airline! <br />
<br />
<span style="color: magenta;">6. Be Attentive</span><br />
<br />
You want to be safe in a foreign country, and its so easy to get distracted by all the sights. But be aware of your surroundings, especially if you're travelling alone. The last thing you want is to be pickpocketed. Barcelona, Prague, Paris and Rome are all pickpocket hotspots in Europe and whilst you aren't definitely going to fall victim to this, be careful and aware! You want to enjoy your hard earned holiday! <br />
<br />
Hope you enjoyed this post, and if you have any other tips for me feel free to leave them in the comments! <br />
2016 is just round the corner and there is no better day than today to spend writing blog posts and new years resolutions, 2016 is gonna be an exciting year for me. I have two trips planned (one extremely soon eek) , I turn 18, finish college and start uni. I'll be moving out , having my own independence. This year could go horribly wrong... But to start every year you have to have new year resolutions that you will forget about by Feb. What else are you going to do in January if you don't. <br />
<br />
This year I plan to: <br />
<br />
Travel more: I already have trips booked to Rome and Spain this year, but I want to see more of the world and do more exciting things! I would like to go to Greece in July for my birthday to go to Kefalonia and see the caves and the beaches! But also I want to go to Australia. I have family over there and I have been thinking about it for awhile. I don't know if I'll make it over there this year, but if I can't go this summer I want to have booked a holiday there for next summer by the time this year is over. I think Josh and his dad want to go to Dublin to see where is granddad grew up, so maybe Ireland is on the cards as well. <br />
<br />
Get drunk: I'm going to uni in September (hopefully) and I don't necessarily want to get drunk, but I want to make the most of fresher's week and wherever I end up going, I want to make sure I socialize as much as possible (alongside lot's of studying obviously). <br />
<br />
Save: For holidays, and for a car. I should pass my driving test in 2016, if I don't I probably ner will. There are so many things I will need to save for (I'm thinking uni as well) I don't think I'm going to save for a specific thing, I might just put away half of my wages and see where that gets me a few months into the year. <br />
<br />
Enjoy my 18th: I turn 18 finally in July and I cannot wait, I want to do something special which I haven't decided yet but I want it to be big! <br />
<br />
Happy New Year lovelies! Let me know what your resolutions are for 2016 in the comments. <br />

<br />
<br />
The 27th of December, our date-aversiary... Is that a normal thing to have? Probably not. If you don't know what it is (and why would you I just made that up on the spot), then it marks a year since our first date, like any other anniversary except some people probably don't even remember the day of their first date, nor do they care. <br />
<br />
We got a voucher at the cinema for 2 tickets to a film, two drinks and a popcorn for Christmas so originally we just planned to go see the new moby dick type film but then I thought we may aswell get some food before hand. <br />
<br />
On our first date we had food in Nando's and then went upstairs to the cinema and watched horrible bosses 2, so for this date we wanted to do the exact same thing! Except then we realised that the cinema we wanted to go to didn't even match the voucher so we never ended up using it. <br />
<br />
Josh picked me up and he smelt different, not like his old or new aftershave. He told me his was wearing his other one so he could save his Tom Ford for a 'special occasion' so as you can see I planned all this and decided it would be a thing, Josh just turned up. Then he was wearing it the next day when we went to Tesco's! Tesco's!!! I guess that really is a special occasion. It made me laugh thinking about what we were talking about the first time we made this journey from mine to Redditch. We had never met each other (sober) properly before, was it awkward? What did we talk about? <br />
<br />
We had our Nando's first as planned, i'm not a big fan of Nando's but I know Josh likes it. We both had butterfly chicken and then we had cheesecake for dessert. I had the white chocolate and raspberry one and Josh had the caramel one, then we cut them in half and had half each. Mainly because I couldn't decide which one I wanted. <br />
<br />
We ended up watching Daddy's home instead, which if you haven't seen it is about a step dad who tries to be dad to his stepkids until the cool biological dad comes along. It was funny, both Josh and really enjoyed it! I had a Tango cherry ice blast, I think that's what its called and that was gooood. It tasted like a fizzy cherry slush puppy. <br />
<br />
It was a great night, with my favourite person, what's even more exciting is that it's less than 3 weeks till our trip to Rome! Woo! <br />
<br />

<br />
It's Christmas everybody! It's not even 8 o'clock yet Josh and I are already in bed, he's reading his new book and I am writing this! I didn't get to sleep until 3am and I had a busy day planned so I set my alarm for 7 and surprisingly got out of bed straight away. <br />
<br />
It's been a day full of food, family and presents! We visited Josh's nan's this morning and then we've been to my aunt's for dinner. I have officially eaten enough food for four and two lots of sprouts since Josh isn't a fan, and I am full. Very full. <br />
<br />
On such little sleep, and a few glasses of wine I am knackered. I can't think of a time I have been in bed by 7 before on Christmas day, but I am unbelievably tired. I have had lots of nice things, and am very spoilt and grateful! I can't really think of much else to say, I probably should have wrote it tomorrow but I wanted to use my new laptop and it's an excuse to say Merry Christmas guys! <br />

<br />
The great thing about living in Birmingham around Christmas time is the markets. Me and Josh visited them a the end of December, and now I am finally getting around to writing this post. They come every year, and its a push and shove to make your way through them but for a festive tat lover like me they're worth it.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
We stopped at the first stall so Josh could get a German beer and we both got some ridiculously long German sausages as well, over priced but delicious none the less. I had a dramatic time trying to pull down a cow udder type ketchup squirter (that's the technical term btdubz) to coat our sausages. Never again.<br />
<br />

<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It wasn't as busy as previous year i've been where i've literally had to grip onto my friends' coats as to not lose them in the crowd, and I really enjoyed looking at all the baubles and snow globes and festive ornaments/trinkets. I didn't buy any but I certainly hinted to Josh. "Oh my babe, how cute is that candle holder? I want it!" *pouts and hopes to find it in a stocking on Christmas day*. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
We made the treck through all the markets past the 'carousel' which was actually just basically a bar, no actual carousel which was greatly disappointing but still cute to look at. *update: there is an actual carousel*<br />
<br />
After we had been through the markets, we made it to the ice skating rink which is where I was most looking forward to going. It's an outdoor rink that the big wheel look over, and in the middle of the rink there's a Christmas tree! We put on our skates and then got on the ice. There was loads of bumps in the ice and Josh kept getting annoyed because I would skate into his path when I was trying to get away from someone else.<br />
<br />
There were little kids going round with penguins to hold onto on, and lots of people falling over, all in all it was really fun. But I tell you what ice skates are uncomfortable and hurt my feet. We also got our photo taken and I have a little keyring momento which is adorable.<br />
<br />
After we had skated we went round to the viewing area where you can get a drink from the bar and watched other people falling over on the ice, a lady selling roses walked past whilst we were watching and Josh bought me a rose. I didn't make him buy it, I promise...<br />
<br />
I had such a good night with my beautiful boyfriend enjoying the festivites, and I would love to hear what you have been up to!<br />

<a href="http://stylesets.dailylook.com/sets/195470">Wishlist</a><br />
<br />
My mom keeps nagging me about making a Christmas so over the past few days I have acquired a list of things that I want in my life and thought I would share them on here with you guys!<br />
<br />
1. The first thing is a check scarf, here is two I particularly like. One that's more navy and one that's more red, everyone I see is wearing scarves like this and i'm jealous! I love them, and I need one.<br />
<br />
2. I'm going on holiday soon! I'm heading to Rome in January and Spain in February, so the second thing on my list is euros, no one told me how expensive holidays are when you're going without your parents! So I've asked for a little help with spending money.<br />
<br />
3. Once again this is become I am a little follower. One of my lovely friends Tash has the Marc Jacob's Daisy perfume and I used it the other day and it was heaven. The smell lasted for ages, got rid of the chicken nuggets smell from work! And it is about time I had a nice perfume because i'm getting tired of using my hollister sprays.<br />
<br />
4. I found this whilst flicking through either Glamour or Cosmo, one of the two. It's about Kate Moss, Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen and the 90's renegades wbo remade fashion! Sounds like a good read to me.<br />
<br />
5. I got a hole in the thigh of my favourite blue jeans, I have this problem so often its beginning to get really annoying, so a new pair of jeans is at the top of my Christmas list!<br />
<br />
6. The last one on the list is something I never thought I would ask for but jeez I love Justin Bieber's new album! Hearing what do you mean, sorry and love yourself on the radio and i have realised he's got some great songs atm! I'm in love!<br />
<br />
So that's what I want this Christmas. That and a massive Christmas dinner! I can't wait to spend Christmas morning with Josh's family, and then Josh is coming to mine for Christmas dinner with my crazy family of 15. It's gonna be a great day!<br /><br />
Who's excited for Christmas? Tell me in the comments! </div>

The festive season is also the party season! Glitter, leather and killer shirt skirts with freezing legs. Woo, I can't wait. It's also the season for red ugly sweaters so here's a style guide to give you inspiration for every occasion.<br />

<a href="http://stylesets.dailylook.com/sets/195318">Saturday Night Sparkle</a><br />
<br />
The first outfit is most possibly my favourite, if you're going on a night out on the town then this is perfect! My boss held a 'crew bash' last year for all the stores he owned in a club in Redditch and I would've loved to wear this! Not sure it qualifies for the bowling we're doing this year though... The green dress is stunning, I want one of my own for New Years Eve *hint hint mommy*. Accessorize with simple black accessories because believe it or not there is a such thing as too much glitter. But don't go bland with the nails, a red would be the perfect Christmas touch.</div>

<a href="http://stylesets.dailylook.com/sets/195316">Get the look</a><br />
<br />
For a Christmas party that you've got to rush from work to get to a pair of leather look trousers and a white shirt to work if you can, leave the red heels under your desk and pop on before you leave, I wouldn't recommend wearing them to work you may get a few funny looks. Pair with a red lip and a gold necklace, I chose this tassel necklace as an extra touch. </div>

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
Seeing your girlfriends this Christmas eve? You can still get away with light wash jeans in my opinion and I would go with minimal/small rips because of the weather (maybe none if it's snowing) and for a more put together and more layered look add a white shirt under the jumper. Pair with your favourite pair of booties and a big enough bag to stuff all your Christmas cards and home made mince pies in before you meet the girls!<br />
<br />
<br />
It's December already! Expect many more Christmas posts to come! Hoping you like this one because I wanted to do a more fashion-y post. Merry Christmas! </div>

<br />
<br />
Autumn is upon us, and Winter is approaching fast behind it. The weather is so cold right now that my heating is on high, yet i'm wearing two jumpers and desperately regretting all wooden flooring and not having double glazing because boy are these floors cold, and how is the heat escaping so damn quick?<br />
<br />
Anyway, i've been thinkng about my favourite staples for an autumn/winter wardrobe after a small (I promise it was tiny) clothes shop a few days ago. Some things I bought this time last year needed replacing, since getting with Josh i've put on a bit (or more) weight, and absolutely ruined the heel on my favourite pair of black winter booties. But we're good! I found some new favourites which i'll feature in this post today!<br />
<br />
Be warned.. You will see that I favour burgundy/dark purples/dark reds. I just cannot help myself, they're my favourite colours to wear and I loooooove them. Usually I see this time of year as an excuse to dress gothic without looking gothic! Dark lips, dark hair colours, dark clothes, dark shoes. You get my drift? Then of course closer to Christmas out comes the bright red christmas jumper, and emerald green skater skirt (not at the same time though)!<br />
<br />
1. My first favourite would be a knitted jumper, the one I show here is quite light weight yet cosy never the less. I found that its perfect for those warm afternoon (minus coat) but chilly evenings (plus coat). It was from New Look which you can find <a href="http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/knitwear/purple-split-side-boxy-sweater_339309758?productFind=search" target="_blank">here</a>.I just paired it with some black jeans, and booties which are another staple of mine.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
2. I also think that dresses, with tights and booties look incredibly cute and brightens my dull overcast days with a flick of a skirt and click of a heel. I had a cute black one with white bows on from H&M but this year its a bit... tight. So <a href="http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/dresses/red-grid-check-long-sleeve-shirt-dress-_359918269?productFind=search" target="_blank">here'</a>s one I only purchased two weeks ago and i've worn it four times, it would've been more but I go to the same place everyday and there's only so many times in a row you can outfit repeat. I love its short sleeves, since I would've just rolled them up anyway and the casual yet cute look of this dress. I can't really pull off the whole straight and not form fitting dress, and if you're the same this one has a tie at the waist which really makes it look cute and effortless to me. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>

3. This time of year, is the time of thick socks and warm ankles! That's why I love a good pair of booties. You look cute and put together but your feet aren't sweating! Or freezing! I've had so many compliments since I bought <a href="http://www.newlook.com/shop/shoe-gallery/view-all-boots/tan-suede-tassel-side-zip-block-heel-boots-_349382718?productFind=search" target="_blank">these</a>, and yes they were from New Look, again. I love the dark yet warm colour of them with the cute tassels on the side, they are comfortable enough for a days wear and for £40 that is not bad at all!! </div>

4. What's more important in the bitter cold of the British weather then a warm coat! This particular one is from H&M last year, but I found a similar one <a href="https://www.google.co.uk/shopping/product/4891948682669355607?q=grey+wool+coat&ved=0ahUKEwjM_OXHja7JAhWGWRQKHa02BPYQ20sIBCgA&ei=Mv1WVsybFYazUa3tkLAP" target="_blank">here</a>. It doesn't have a hood which is its only downside, but I make up for that with #5 on this list! It's also not waterproof, and now i'm beginning to question it's practicality... But it's lovely! I love the wool and colours of this coat and it has a black lining on the inside so it's super comfortable and not itchy at all!<br />
<br />
5. This one is probably a key staple for all year round in England. Number 5 for me is an umbrella, not necessarily a wardrobe staple (cheating a bit there), but something you need never the less. My coat doesn't have a hood as discussed above so I would be absolutely lost without an umbrella! Nobody likes their hair to get wet on their commute to a long day at college/work. Nobody!<br />
<br />
These are my staples for this years colder months, and as always i'd love for you to share yours in the comments below! </div>

It's nearly December! I started my Christmas shopping yesterday and I am definitely feeling the christmas spirit. I always find guys hardest to buy for, so these I've bought for the guys in my life this Christmas that may well help you decide what to buy the man in yours!<br>
<br>
My first suggestion is tickets. This could be anything from football tickets, concert tickets or like I did for Josh this year tickets to see the strictly come dancing tour! I am not even kidding when I say Josh is going to enjoy this more than me. Just find something that he's interested, if its football you could get a season pass maybe? If he has a favourite band or tv show do they have a tour/events on? I personally would stay away from experience days etc because I know in the past I have had one and so has Josh and neither of us have ended up doing them. Unless its something you can do together of course, then I find you're more likely to do it.<br>
<br>
If you know the man you're buying for quite well, as I assume you will, then you'll probably know what aftershave they like (or if you don't also like then buy him something you do), for Josh I know he either wears Armani or Paco Roban and I prefer Paco Roban since it reminds me of the first few dates we went on so I'd buy him that.<br>
<br>
For my dad I tend to always buy giftcards its just something that he will always use, above I pictured a B&Q one but you could always go for a sports shop or clothing store like TopMan for a brother maybe. If you have a younger brother (or older) who likes to go to the cinema a lot with friends/girlfriends then a cinema giftcard would also be a good gift!<br>
<br>
The thing i'm going to get my dad this year though is a book, personalised to the team he loves (Birmingham City) and to him. Full of newspaper reports etc of the team from the past. I think its such a unique idea that my dad will love and its not something you would buy for yourself which is sometimes what a gift is all about.<br>
<br>
Other book could include the one I bought Josh yesterday also pictured above. Josh is obsessed with Danny Dyer's cockney accent and his twitter account. I've never actually seen Josh read a book so when he picked it up in a store the other day and said "this is what you can get me for Christmas I was quite shocked. Turns out boys do read!<br>
<br>
I hope this helped somewhat with picking out a Christmas presents for those pesky men this Christmas. Got any ideas? Leave them in the comments below!<br>
