Prom

A week ago tomorrow night, was my prom night! It was amazing. I got my hurr did, and my makeup done for it, and I felt like a princess. I was crazily excited for prom, and it was exactly what I expected it to be. Everyone was dancing, and taking pictures all night and it was perfect. We had it at the motorcycle museum, and there was a red carpet, and a filming crew. We went in a range rover evoke, and holy moly was it nice!  Because our school are part of a tv program so that was kinda weird! We had a three course meal which consisted of soup, chicken with veggies and potatoes, and a meringue with ice cream and raspberry sauce. It was delicious. I had an open evening at college today and most of the girls were having their prom today or tomorrow, so if you've had/are having your prom I hope it was great/goes great. xo

What a photobomb in the background.

Selfie!

Desert.

Name cards, and mocktails. We were feeling super fancy!

How napkins should be worn.

See that balloon? After this photo we went down stairs and hid so we could suck the helium out of them and sit down while our feet hurt.

Concerts are my life.

If you've ever been to a concert, you will understand that the title isn't even an exaggeration. Unless, your not a concert person, but how is that possible. I haven't even been to that many concerts but I have already fell in love with them.

I went to see Hollywood Ending about a week ago with Abbie, it was different to the McBusted concert, it was at the 02 Academy which is quite small if you're in Birmingham. There were three lines, and another guy was performing, so when we got there everyone was super confused. But it worked out fine in the end, and Abbie and I even met some really great people.

The support act was Luke Towler and he was amazing (and cute), he sang to one of the girls we made friends with and I can't even describe it. I literally swooned and it wasn't even me he was singing too.

We were stood near to the stage for Luke, and it was okay, but before Hollywood Ending came on we moved to the back near to the bar, and it was a much better view. Hollywood Ending were amazing too, Cameron took his shirt off and it was crazy. They also spat a lot of water everywhere, which was surprisingly not disgusting.

As soon as it was over, I wanted it to start again, minus the crazy heat.

This cutie can SING.

Swoon

20 Things To Do This Summer

Ahhh. Summer is here! PointlessBlog made a video saying he had twenty five things he wanted to do this summer, and he's going to document them all in a little book. We all know from this, and this post that I am a summerholic, so I made a list of twenty I would love to do this summer, since it's gonna be a long one (two and a half months!), and I'm going to document them in a journal full of details and photos, and on the blog of course! I need to start filling my Cath Kidston scrap book so I'm super excited to get going!
  1. CONCERTS! This is key for the perfect summer, I went to one a few days ago but I'm not counting that, because the more the better! I think, I'm going to buy tickets to see some really cute guys with a few new friends I made at Sunday's concert. So look forward to that!
  2. BARBECUES. They are perfect, I may be having one for my birthday, which will be fun! Barbecues are a time for good food, good people, and (hopefully) good weather!
  3. TAKE A RUN ON THE BEACH IN THE EARLY AM. I really want to do this when I go on holiday, a change of scenery will be perfect, and I really just want to watch the sunrise at the same time.
  4. WALK UP BREAN DOWN. There is quite a big cliff? If that's what you would call it, where I am going on holiday. The first time I climbed it, I was too scared to enjoy it (i hate heights). So I want to do it again.
  5. WATER FIGHT. A little water never hurt no one, it's just really fun to soak people, and I have no idea why.
  6. BUILD A FORT, EAT SWEETS AND WATCH MOVIES. So tumblr...
  7. PICNIC AT THE BEACH. Food, sea, and sand. All the best things in one!
  8. SEE A PLAY AT A THEATER. I live near Stratford (if you even know where that is), and it's the birthplace of Shakespeare. They usually show plays in theaters there, and I would really love to see one.
  9. GET A JOB. For the dollar, dollar bills.
  10. GO CAMPING. I am a happy camper, everything about it is exciting to me.
  11. DO SOME LATE NIGHT BOWLING. Bowling is fun, late night bowling when it's lit up and there's no kids, is so much funner.
  12. SPA DAY. Because a girl needs to look after herself, right!
  13. RUN 3 MILES. It took me like 6/7 minutes to run a mile, three can't be that hard. (Fingers crossed.)
  14. MAKE LEMONADE. So pinterest...
  15. READ A BOOK FRONT TO BACK IN ONE SITTING. I've done this before, but there's one in particular I want to read.
  16. NURTURE A PLANT. I'm starting college soon, I am practically an adult! So I want to try my responsibilities.
  17. TRY SUSHI. I have no idea why I want to do this so bad, food on a conveyor belt just seems cool. And who's never tried sushi before anyway, just me?
  18. TAKE A PICTURE EVERYDAY AND MAKE A FLIPAGRAM AT THE  END. So Instagram...
  19. TIE DIE SOME OLD SHIRTS. Because how freaking cool would that be!
  20. READ GOSSIP MAGAZINES WHILE LAYING OUT. Because who wouldn't enjoy this? Grab a deck chair while I am at the pool, and chill, with the gossip.

LISTENING
To Hollywood Ending, I went to see them in concert on Sunday and i'm loving them!
EATING
A belvita breakfast biscuit and some chopped up cucumer and carrots. Prom is coming and I'm committing to healthy food day and night, I've lasted a week so far which is crazy. I'm going to pizza hut for a friends birthday the day after so I have reassurance that me and greasy fast food will soon be reunited!
DRINKING
Water! I've swapped my coke bottle for a water bottle. I know, I know, I was shocked too.
WEARING
My pajamas! I got dressed this morning, and then when I got in from shopping I put them on again! I have two months of summer, and I can't wait to spend them blogging in my pajamas.
FEELING
Nostalgic! I've been super nostalgic recently since I finished year 11,  I've seen a more than a few cringe worthy year 7 photos in year books and also I'm just a little upset I'm leaving school. My teachers have pulled out all the stops and made it really special. I definitely have many happy memories, but it's time to move on!
WEATHER
The weather is perfect! It would be exam season when the sun decided to resurface... Typical! On Friday I went to a park with the whole of my year group and I ended up getting sunburnt, it was bad.
WANTING
The impossible instalab for iphone, you put your iphone on it and it prints a Polaroid version! It's an alternative for a polaroid camera, and you can choose the perfect picture before printing. Since everything Polaroid is so freaking expensive, how did cope before digital?
NEEDING
A new Supernatural episode! I'm missing Misha, Jensen and Jared so much, just come back to my screen already. I will be watching whose line is it anyway, and I am very excited.
THINKING
Nothing. Literally. I do have one exam left, but I'm not stressing!
ENJOYING
Life! Despite school being one big stress, it's also super fun. I'm enjoying the sun, and all the end of year get togethers. June has been and still has to come lots of events, which I am really enjoying.

What are you currently enjoying?

June goals.

While it is true, June is over two weeks in. I am finally writing my goals post. Exam season is nearly over, I have finished 13/14 exams and finally finished school for good (which is surprisingly scary). So now my 'school' goal is over is time to focus on a new, shorter lived one. (Which is good because I have a feeling it's gonna be a harder one as well.) But first let's take a look at May.

MAY
I have some major exams coming up this month so the month of May is perfect to set myself some educational goals. I need to start taking school more seriously, because I get average grades I've never really pushed myself to do better, but it's about time I do!

SUB GOALS

  • Attend every day of school in May. I'm such a bad cookie when it comes to actually going to school (by this I mean I have 'sick' days probably once a month, not that I just don't go) but these next few weeks are going to be crucial.
I attempted this, I had two days off in the first two weeks of June, because I had no exams and ten study periods, which I was getting nothing done in!
  • Speak up. This one sounds kind of stupid, but I am 'that student' who never puts her hand up and never contributes unless forced to. I want to start involving myself more and contributing to class once a day (which is a big thing for me) whether its just answering a question, or reading out a passage etc.
I didn't even attempt this one to be honest, I just listened and took notes. No speaking occured.
  • Stick to my revision timetable. This means studying for at least 2 hours every night and at least 4 on Saturday and Sundays, this one is gonna be my hardest I think. Plus I have a lot of social things going on this month, so if I stick to this then I won't feel so guilty about going to parties or concerts (or watching honey boo boo)!
I was a tad ambitious, I did do a sufficient amount of revision. I was swamped with work. But, I didn't revise every single day, I probably only revised 3/4 times a week. It's still a lot more than I did before though!
  • Let things go. This might not sound like it has anything to do with school, but everyone is stressed out this and so many friendship groups in my year and feeling the blow (mine included). At least until my exams are over I'm going to take everything with a pinch of salt, it's so much easier to move past things then it is crying over them for days, and thinking about them constantly. Which I am certainly guilty of doing. I need to be super focused this month, I won't even go there after June 13th so who even cares!
It's June 14th and guess what I don't go to this school anymore! This is my most successful sub goal. In the past few weeks, there has been many arguments and a lot of fights, verbal and the hair pulling kind. (teenage girls ay?). I stayed out of the drama though and I am so glad!

JUNE
The month of June is also the start of my summer! I want to make these goals very strict, since I only have to stick to them for two weeks, but I only have three sub goals this month. I decided for June i'll make some fitness goals. Everybody loves being healthy, right? For the first two weeks of June, I've been testing the waters and it's proven to fairly easy if I actually try so let's get stuck in!

SUB GOALS
  • Eat 100% healthy meals 6 out of 7 days a week. It's only six because, a girl needs chocolate once a week, and there's nothing wrong with a treat now and again!  I'll be sticking to salads and vegetables instead of chips/rice or any other of the sort. I mention rice because the only kind of rice I like, is very fatty and oily. Then I'll accompany the veggies with a source of protein, like lean beef or egg whites. I'll also be eating fruits, hopefully this will give me chance to find new healthy recipes that I can enjoy in later months.
  • Workout every day. This will be my hardest goal! I want to get in about 45 minutes of cardio a day with some sort of targeted strength training for 30 minutes a day. I will probably alternate between butt, abs, arms and legs. Since I've finished school now, there's no excuse!
  • Drink 8 glasses (or more) of water a day. I am very much a soda drinker, this month though i'll be sticking to water!
I'm excited to start my goals! I'll be documenting meals, measurements, workouts on the blogilates app and then in my July goals post! Wish me luck!

What are your goals for the month of June?

Don't let the cliche hit you on your way out...

It's true that if one door closes, we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us. In a way this has been the one thing (qoute/saying/phrase??) that has got me through the past few months. So many closed doors (and I mean so many, i'm beginning to believe I've done very bad things in a past life) have been shoved in my face this month, it's so frustrating and I usually spend so much time mourning the closed doors, I haven't fully appreciated the open ones! Yes, it's an incredibly cheesy idea, but recent events have made it all to real for me to ignore. It's time to start forgetting the closed doors, and heading for those open ones!

A few examples? Oh go on then.

A week or so ago there was a supernatural con, I was originally going to the con, and then I couldn't. Just as I had moved on, the actual con happened and I was miserable all over again. I missed out on an opportunity to finally find out what Misha Collins smelt like (not creepy at all). Then on the second day of the con, I went to a concert. It was an amazing concert, and we (abbie and I) had pretty good seats (which we wouldn't of had if we had been at A12 (the convention)). I loved the concert and enjoyed every minute of it, I'm still in post concert depression, it was incredible. Yet I was still upset about not being at A12, and I guess that being able to go to the concert just shows that when one door closes another opens!

From the concert, I didn't actually take this. Our seats weren't that good!

It's currently exam season (sad sighs all around, but at least we're half way through!) and a few of my exams went really badly, and even though I also had a few exams that went really well. I can't stop obsessing over the bad exams. Which I know is stupid because it's done, I should celebrate my good exams and hope for the best come results day! But I can't. I just can't stop worrying about the ones that went bad! I think this is human nature, like when you mope about an insult for days and forget a compliment in minutes.
I promise you it was part revision, part selfie...
Then (not really true because these examples are not in chronological order) I found out my trip to Berlin was cancelled, which sucks. I was finally going to be cultured. Isn't that what bloggers are supposed to be CULTURED?! Think of all the foreign food, I could have instagrammed. All the sights I could have blogged about, and I'm only half sarcastic right now. But I'm forgetting that August 2nd I am going on holiday, despite my sisters teasing a caravan in Burnam is a holiday. Tennis, the beach and arcades! I will be experiencing british culture to the max! Fish and chips everyday anyone? Yes, it's not Berlin, but i've been a few years ago and it was brilliant!

This was possibly the only time everyone was happy at once though...
So basically the moral of this post (this will quite possibly the only time a blogpost of mine has a moral so listen up kids) is that even though there may be bad news, there will be good news! Even if you don't know it yet, so chin up chickens!

Mcbusted?!

I can't really remember how old I was. I do remember though that I had a joint obsession with The Black Eyed Peas and Busted, I was a rocking kid. Yeah... no. Then a few years later I found Mcfly, they were never my favourite band but I can remember listening to them with my mom on a Sunday. Then I found Carrie's (way past my bedtime) youtube videos... And then I found Tom's! Can you spell hooked? So when Hannah asked Abbie if we wanted to go see them, I was like hell yes! So we did!

They played the LG arena on the 17th and we got there and the sun had been shining all day it was so nice. We also got there a little early, so we went to get some merch and just chilled for a bit. There were two bands who played on the forum live stage at the LG, which is where you walk in before the actually arena. The second band was called Speaking In Shadows, they did a cover of dirty little secret by The All-American Rejects and were amazing! I fell in love with the lead singer, he was cuuute (and good at singing that's important too yeah). Perfect way to start a concert.

We went to find our seats after they performed and we had a pretty nice view of the stage, the supporting acts were good, and I actually booked tickets to see one of them when I got home. They were called Hollywood Ending you should really check them out.

*spoiler alert if just in case you're going to see them*

The boys came on after a little video and two of the boys (Matt and James I think) came out in a back to the future style car, it was really cool. The atmosphere when the boys came on was amazing, the supporting acts were great but this was even better! They opened with air hostess, which is my favourite and it was perfect!

In the middle of the concert, they sang a busted song which is pretty recent (stargirl) and it started when they came down from the ceiling on a spaceship! It was crazy! Matt Willis was directly in front of me and incredibly close...While they were on the spaceship, Dougie fell over, got stuck and Matt tried to steal his shoe. What a bromance!

It was 100% perfect and there was so much more but this post is already getting long and I haven't even included pictures yet! Some of these pictures are mine, some aren't and they all kind of include Dougie (I may have a crush)

Yes they are boobs, why there are three I do not know.
