Why I am the worst blogger yet.

#1 Sometime I forget to write. It's like the words wont come to me, and if it happens once I usually get put off everything for a good few days. (Or weeks.) I get writing block a lot and only write for myself. I never really imagine an audience, so I forget that this blog means a little more than a diary, and consistency is key.

#2 I have blog shame. I am proud of my blog, but it's a i'm quietly proud. I love my little space on the internet but I am really not someone who shouts about it, or even whispers.

#3 What's a camera? Just kidding. I have a camera, it's not a DSLR, its just a standard camera but I don't know how to use it properly still. It would be much better quality, although I don't really get how to focus it up close, even with macro. For now, I like using my iphone, and I feel much less embarrassed pulling it out. "'i'm just texting." I lie, as I photograph everything.. It's for the blog, but i'll never admit it.

#4 I don't get how sponsors work. Who sponsors who? What does a sponsor entail, and why are they so expensive? Honestly, I never viewed blogging as a job until I really started getting into it and reading different blogs. Blogs that upload daily and have a steady stream of guest posts and sponsered posts, but only enough that you don't notice how regular they are. Blogs so put together that when I go through writers block I realise I really am the worst blogger yet.

Any tips on writers block, and anyone who can explain sponsors to me? The comments are below.

Sweet Sixteen

Not so sure about the sweet part, I eat a lot of sugar though so I probably have super sweet blood. A vampires dream I assume.

Wow. How quickly did we get off track there, I start writing a post about my birthday and end up talking about vampires. In one sentence.

Back on track however, it was my sixteenth birthday on Wednesday, I didn't think I'd make it this far. When I was naughty my mom would always say "you'll never make it to 9". (Or any other age under 13, nine just seemed to fit.) Well, guess what Mom. I made it. And a bit.

Back on track (again). Because I turned sixteen, and my New Years resolution to do more meant I made a lot more friends, I did what every other teenager does on their birthday. I threw a party.

It was great, it was in a big function room, people auditioned for invites, Justin Bieber performed and I got a car. Ha, I wish, I can't even drive until I'm 17. I've just been watching way too much MTV.

I did throw a party though, and it was amazing. It was in my garden, my iPod was the only performer, my invite was in form of a text, and I didn't get a car. (I did however get a £20 gift card for River Island which is way better.) It was still perfect in every way. I had such a good time, and pizza, and I know everyone else enjoyed themselves too.

The last of my guests didn't leave until gone 2am, and seven of them stopped over. We actually watched High School Musical (16 or 10?) and then when that was over only four of us were awake, and even though it was nearly 5 in the morning; we actually cleared up outside because it was a mess and then sat on the trampoline with some blankets and talked. It was perfect.

I bet you are itching for photos, most of you have probably already scrolled to them and skipped this long ass post. Or maybe, after you've looked at the photos first, and now you're reading the writing. Who knows, but I've kept you waiting and here you are....

I love this candid.

Olivia was so excited, she got a double chin.

You can imagine this mess x100 after we were finished.

Prom

A week ago tomorrow night, was my prom night! It was amazing. I got my hurr did, and my makeup done for it, and I felt like a princess. I was crazily excited for prom, and it was exactly what I expected it to be. Everyone was dancing, and taking pictures all night and it was perfect. We had it at the motorcycle museum, and there was a red carpet, and a filming crew. We went in a range rover evoke, and holy moly was it nice!  Because our school are part of a tv program so that was kinda weird! We had a three course meal which consisted of soup, chicken with veggies and potatoes, and a meringue with ice cream and raspberry sauce. It was delicious. I had an open evening at college today and most of the girls were having their prom today or tomorrow, so if you've had/are having your prom I hope it was great/goes great. xo

What a photobomb in the background.

Selfie!

Desert.

Name cards, and mocktails. We were feeling super fancy!

How napkins should be worn.

See that balloon? After this photo we went down stairs and hid so we could suck the helium out of them and sit down while our feet hurt.

May goals.

I made new years resolutions (or revolutions as honey boo boo would call them) I'm gonna briefly share them with you and for my resolutions in more detail click here. Overall I was going to save, get involved, study, do chores, attend, sleep. Overall I can say I do involve myself more and I do (kind of) study more but honestly I still have trouble attending, saving, doing chores and sleeping. Oops.

Bonnie, who is one of my favourite bloggers is more intelligent than I am, and does monthly goals with sub goals to keep her on track. I've decided to steal this idea. I was going to just wait until New Year but they say there's no time like the present, so here I am. May is already five days in but hey, I can progress in 25 days! I'm not going to plan the goals in advance, I'm just going to decide what I feel like my life needs at the start of the month, and share it with you guys when I recap last months.

MAY
I have some major exams coming up this month so the month of May is perfect to set myself some educational goals. I need to start taking school more seriously, because I get average grades I've never really pushed myself to do better, but it's about time I do!

SUB GOALS

  • Attend every day of school in May. I'm such a bad cookie when it comes to actually going to school (by this I mean I have 'sick' days probably once a month, not that I just don't go) but these next few weeks are going to be crucial.
  • Speak up. This one sounds kind of stupid, but I am 'that student' who never puts her hand up and never contributes unless forced to. I want to start involving myself more and contributing to class once a day (which is a big thing for me) whether its just answering a question, or reading out a passage etc.
  • Stick to my revision timetable. This means studying for at least 2 hours every night and at least 4 on Saturday and Sundays, this one is gonna be my hardest I think. Plus I have a lot of social things going on this month, so if I stick to this then I won't feel so guilty about going to parties or concerts (or watching honey boo boo)!
  • Let things go. This might not sound like it has anything to do with school, but everyone is stressed out this and so many friendship groups in my year and feeling the blow (mine included). At least until my exams are over I'm going to take everything with a pinch of salt, it's so much easier to move past things then it is crying over them for days, and thinking about them constantly. Which I am certainly guilty of doing. I need to be super focused this month, I won't even go there after June 13th so who even cares!
These are my goals! I would love to know yours and how your doing with your new years resolutions!

A week of wonders...

This week is already seeming pretty interesting, on Monday I went back to school. What a bore. Exams are starting soon and my first one s next week so there is no time for slacking! Like I said, what a bore... As well as the work, it seems like my teachers are always so negative about what I do. They can never say it's good, there's is always something wrong, which is off putting. (When coming back to publish this post I had read Bonnie's post on criticism and realised they only want what's best, you should check it out) In more exciting news because I'm sure you didn't read a week of wonders, and expect a post about my school load. I've been crazy into being healthy, it's like a switch inside me flicked, fruit infused water (lots of), exercise (I know, even exercise?) and I've eaten a lot of veggies and not a lot of ice cream. I'm feeling good. I'm just about to watch this weeks episode of Supernatural and I'm excited (It was freaking amazing). One of my friends told me it was so good and the last few episodes were amazing, why is this season getting so good as it gets closer to the end. The hiatus between season 9-10 will not be a pretty one. On Friday I have my leavers assembly that i'm thinking I might be writing about, who knows. But I'm super excited because it feels so official, I am actually leaving and on my way to responsibility... yuck. It's actually pretty nerve racking. I also have concert tickets for McBusted, holllaaa. I'm super excited about that as when I was little I had a big crush on Matt Willis. I will definitely be writing a post about that... At this point I can not wait for the weekend.

Five tips for shopping success!

I am constantly shopping, but I usually only picks up two or three things a new bra or a cute shirt, that kinda shopping. Then once or twice a year I find myself bored with my wardrobe and desperate to go shopping and buy out the whole mall! (This is a bad thing, I just can't control myself.) These are the least successful I think because I'm buying so much I usually buy stuff on a whim and never wear it or buy stuff I will wear and yet never do, and after these trips I usually go back the next day with 75% of it because I just got too over-excited and actually I hate that bright orange top I just paid £12 pound for? I'm going shopping tomorrow because I'm desperate for some new spring/summer pieces and came up with a few tips to help mine and your shopping trips a whole lot more successful!

KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE
I did some spring cleaning today, including my wardrobe (post soon if you're interested). So I know what exactly I have in their, I found a lot of items I had just forgotten about which I can't wait to start wearing again and I also realised I am lacking in the cute shorts and swimwear department. While I was cleaning out I made a vague list to make sure I at least picked up things I needed. I love making lists and following them so that works perfectly for me!

TRY IT ON
When you just pick up one thing it's so easy to skip the dressing rooms which can be stressful and way too hot around now, but it's definitely important to check them out. I find that a lot of the stuff I throw in my basket actually looks terrible on my own body shape, and if your a woman you know how crazy sizing is these days. I could be an 8 in one store and a 12 in another! It's not just that but some items look more flattering in a size bigger or smaller than your regular size sometimes and you end up with better results!

OUTFIT AHEAD
What I mean by this is before you decide to buy something think if you have something in your wardrobe you can wear it with already and if not find something! It's always a bummer getting excited over a new skirt and you can't find a shirt to pair it with.

LEAVE YOUR COMFORT ZONE 'SENSIBLY'
Sensible sounds so old! Like your nan looking at your first pair of heels and going "are those shoes sensible?" When they can't be more than a few inches tall! ;) What I mean is it's great to leave your comfort zone and buy stuff you wouldn't usually wear because there is always room for your style/personality to grow, but it's best to decide if you like the item first. If it's quirky and catches your eye, follow steps 2&3 first!

BUDGET
If you are in a financial position where you don't have to budget then great, but if you can't splash too much cash it's great to make a mental note in your head. It doesn't have to be set in stone but I find when I start shopping and I know I'll be getting a lot, it is so easy to get carried away. If you're like me and have to be careful with finances then check what money you can spare on your fashion addiction first and try and stick to that amount. There has been many times where I have bought too many clothes and had to sacrifice (probably more important) things!

I hope you find these tips useful, I just thought I would share. Shopping is so overwhelming these days with so many different styles, shops and pieces! I would love to know any of your shopping tips as well, so leave a comment if you have any!

Festival Fever?

Have you been sitting at home this weekend, scrolling through instagram and watching multiple vlogs entailing all the deets about Coachella because I know I have! If you've been readng my blog for long you'll know I am a complete summer addict, any excuse to get out in the sun and wear skirts without getting frostbite and I'll take it! This is why I love festivals so much, who wouldn't? Take a couple of your friends, dress up in the cutest outfits you can only possible pull off at such festivals (if you live in the UK like me). Camp out and enjoy spending time with your best friends while you sing along with tons of perfect musicians! Colourful accessories, floral kimonos and flower crowns. Sound like heaven to you? Me too. It's not just Coachella's been and gone, but there's still so many festivals and so much of summer left, the Reading Festival line up is super exciting in particular.Arctic Monkeys, You Me At Six and Vampire Weekend. Uh? Yes please! Plus, even if your a introvert (like me) or suffer from anxiety (like me) I can assure you you'll still have great fun, just stick with people you know and let the music take you to a new level!

So since there's still some hope on the festival front I've come up with a lookbook using pieces from BANK, make sure to check them out!

1)Beaded Playsuit £18 available here. 2)Ribbon Suede Pouch Bag £38 available here. 3)JuJu Maxi UV Jellies £20 available here. 4)Peace Necklace £5 available here.

Annddd, if the lookbook isn't enough to get you hyped up for a festival filled summer I've put together a playlist and found my favourite coachella vlogs and snaps to get in you in the mood and assist you with your festival shopping! Be sure to check out BANK they're a sure favourite of mine for shopping this summer.

Easter Sunday baking!

Today was Easter Sunday and it was marvellous, I have never eaten so much chocolate in my life before. (Excluding last Easter of course!) If the chocolate wasn't enough my Mum and I decide to bake some Easter cupcakes, it's a bit late to share with you guys, but you can always bookmark this for next year or just call them spring cupcakes. ;)

For the cupcakes I used:
2 eggs
4oz of sugar, self raising flour and butter
and baked at gas mark four for about 25/30 minutes

For decoration I used:
Butter icing
          -2oz butter
          -4oz icing sugar
Roll out icing
Mini eggs.

Super easy, super simple and they tasted amazing!
